I hate wasting food . . .



In summer months, I always see a water melon at the grocer and think what a great idea it would be. Then about a week later I invariably end up throwing some away.

Well to remedy that I stumbled across an idea on my own, though it’s not so earth shattering that many others didn’t too, that you freeze cubed watermelon to use as ice cubes at your convenience. Holds cold well being mostly water, and adds interesting overtones to white wines, or waters.

Next melon I get, most of it’s going in the freezer!
